**Job Description: Gem Manager with IT Experience and OEM Panel Handling**
**Position Overview:**
We are seeking an experienced Gem Manager with a strong background in IT, OEM panel handling, account creation, bidding, and buyer account management. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in these areas and a proven track record of effectively managing various aspects of procurement, vendor relationships, and IT solutions. This role involves collaborating with internal teams, suppliers, and buyers to streamline processes, optimize vendor interactions, and ensure successful bidding outcomes.
**Responsibilities:**
1. **IT Expertise:**
– Leverage your IT background to understand and optimize the technical aspects of the procurement process, including digital platforms, e-tendering, and vendor management systems.
– Collaborate with the IT team to ensure smooth integration of procurement tools and systems, troubleshoot technical issues, and suggest improvements for enhanced user experience.
2. **OEM Panel Handling:**
– Manage relationships with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and coordinate procurement activities with OEM partners.
– Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with OEMs while ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
3. **Account Creation:**
– Oversee the creation and maintenance of buyer and vendor accounts within the procurement system.
– Ensure accurate and up-to-date information in accounts, including vendor certifications, documentation, and compliance details.
4. **Bidding Experience:**
– Lead the bidding process, including drafting bid documents, managing timelines, and facilitating communication between buyers and suppliers.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate bids, negotiate terms, and select the most suitable vendors while ensuring competitive pricing and quality standards.
5. **Buyer Account Experience:**
– Manage relationships with buyers, understanding their needs, preferences, and requirements.
– Provide exceptional customer service to buyers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and fostering long-term relationships to enhance buyer satisfaction.
6. **Vendor Performance Monitoring:**
– Monitor vendor performance and adherence to contract terms, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
– Identify areas for improvement and work with vendors to enhance performance and resolve any discrepancies.
7. **Data Analysis and Reporting:**
– Utilize data analytics tools to generate reports, analyze procurement trends, identify cost-saving opportunities, and present insights to relevant stakeholders.
**Qualifications:**
– Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, IT, or related field.
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in Bidding, procurement, vendor management, and IT solutions.
– Proven expertise in managing OEM relationships and handling buyer accounts.
– Strong understanding of e-tendering, bidding processes, and procurement best practices.
– Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
– Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools.
– Familiarity with procurement software and systems.
– Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
